Why CRUX Exists

Faith should be formed, not just inherited.

Most faith formation resources fall into one of two traps. They are either so simplified that serious people cannot take them seriously, or so dense that curious people cannot find a way in. CRUX is the attempt to hold both doors open at once.

The name is not accidental. The cross is the center of everything Christians believe. It is the crux of the matter. Every module, every Bible study, every saint card in this collection points back to that one fixed point.

CRUX grew out of a conviction that the best faith formation feels less like a lecture and more like a conversation with someone who has done the reading. Doctrine without story is dry. Story without doctrine drifts. CRUX tries to hold them together.

How to Use CRUX

Start wherever you are. Go deep.

There is no wrong door. Whether you are new to the faith, returning after time away, or teaching a classroom of seventh-graders, the content here is designed to meet you where you stand.

Pick a starting point
New to Catholic teaching? Start with the Five Pillars modules. Already grounded? Jump into Bible Study or the Adult Formation track. Teachers should visit the Faith Formation tab for classroom-ready materials.

Work through a module
Each module includes readings, vocabulary, reflection prompts, and a teaching guide. Do one section at a time. Sit with the questions. The goal is understanding, not speed.

Collect the saints
Saint cards are earned by completing modules and opening packs. Each card tells a story. The saints are not decoration: they are companions. Let them be that.

Keep coming back
Faith formation is not a checklist. The content grows as the platform does. Subscribe to updates, share modules with friends, and bring questions back with you when they surface.
